Upper Beaver Meadows area is less crowded for hike. There are lots of unmarked trails in the area for exploring. Two places most people don't know about or access: there is an elk exclosure area, which humans are welcome to explore. And the north moraine fairly near the junction with Trail Ridge Road is the site where I went before my nyc niagara bus tours. These are too difficult paths so don’t go there with your families.
